Running isn't always about the next race or chasing a faster time. For me, it's about staying consistent, seeing what I'm capable of, and making running fit around everyday life.
This is where I share the races and challenges that have become part of my running journey — the build-up, the nerves, the atmosphere, the highs, the lows and everything in between. Because sometimes it's not about the time on the clock, but the experience of getting there and taking it on.
From working towards completing my parkrun A–Z to planning my British race-track running adventures, these are the challenges and goals that are keeping me motivated. Follow my progress as I take them on, one run at a time.
I’ve taken on the parkrun A–Z challenge, which gives me a good excuse to visit different parkruns and explore some new places along the way. I’m working my way through the alphabet, one letter at a time, and I’ll keep adding them here as I go.

The Great North Run has become a big part of my running journey. I ran my first one in 2016 and, in 2026, completed my 10th. I ran every year from 2016 to 2019, before the event was cancelled in 2020 because of Covid, and then returned to the start line from 2021 through to 2026.
Ten Great North Runs later, the atmosphere, the crowds and the feeling of being part of something so big are what have made this event such a memorable part of my running journey.

I’ve recently set myself a new challenge to run at some of Britain’s race tracks. The idea has actually been in the back of my mind for years — I ran at Donington Park in 2016, but at the time I never thought about turning it into a challenge.
Now I’ve decided to give it a go and see how many different race tracks I can run at. I’ll add them here as I tick them off.
I’m planning to make this a longer-term challenge, with race tracks on my running plans for 2027, 2028 and beyond.
